Is this something to do with "Away Mode"? Has anyone else had this problem, and if so do you have a solution?
I've tried to work out how and why this might be happening, but the only clue so far is that it seems to occur after the HTPC has started automatically for a recording, although I can't be absolutely certain of this. Obviously I would rather not have to do this, as well as it badly affecting the WAF. All I have to do is unmute the sound and restart MP and all is good. On exiting MP it is clear that for some reason the sound has been muted in Windows (the little speaker icon in the system tray has the mute symbol visible). Since upgrading to Windows 7, about 50% of the times I start up my HTPC I find that I have no sound. Hello - I'm hoping someone can shed some light on a very annoying problem I keep having with my HTPC.
